Korea Blog Part 1: FUNTASTIC KOREA

June 28, 2018

This post took me a couple of weeks before I decided finally put it up on blog. In relevant to my previous post (which you can read it here ). I'll be sharing with you where we have booked some of our tour in Korea. So on our Day 3 Itinerary we visited PETITE FRANCE + NAMI ISLAND + GARDEN OF THE MORNING CALM.

You can opt to have it DIY - ride buses and trains but if you are staying at Seoul then you might want to consider booking a tour for hassle-free travel.

You can book your trip at FUNKO  and you can choose a lot of tour packages. They have plenty of packages to choose from and with a slash off of their regular prices. You can book before your desired trip date. They have an ENGLISH SPEAKING GUIDE and a very comfy BUS. Pick up points were also very convenient.

Being under the limelight for a couple of years now, NAMI ISLAND has and always been on a dominant trend to visit when in Korea. So w e had to REALLY include this in our tour.

From the Port to Nami Island took only 5-10 minutes boat ride. FUNKO also provided us the roundtrip boat tickets and an entrance fee. No long wait and lines. So hassle FREE!

You need to stay on the island for aa plenty of hours before you finish touring the place. So since we went during Winter, our feet were pretty frozen at that time we always run and find a bonfire nearby to keep ourselves warm. So honestly, we were not able to fully enjoy the Nami trip since the cold limit us to reach where we want to go. From a tropical country I am, I can say WINTER is never easy. I learned that you should bring PROPER GARMENTS for you to fully enjoy the place and beat the cold.

If you are a KDRAMA fanatic, you know what place is this. And pretty sure you want to include this in you bucketlist as well. The place is not too big, of course from the name itself - PETITE. But as I've said cold will limit your capability of walking, even my sister had knee pains due to extreme cold. But the great catch was we got to experience SNOWFALL. Which we obviously do not have in a tropical country, lol. But YES, even we did not get to spend all the time touring the place, moments like having to experience SNOW is one to keep.

We actually went first the PETITE FRANCE before NAMI ISLAND. It was Decemeber 24, a day before Christmas where ice crystals decided to fall. Just the perfect time to experience WHITE CHRISTMAS.

With Christmas feels, we opted to visit this place on a Lighting Festival. But if you happen to visit around other seasons - SPRING would be the best choice and have it in the morning where sun shines so brightly because this garden is a paradise of beautifully bloom flowers. TRIVIA: this was one of the shooting place of LOVE IN THE MOONLIGHT.

Since we only have one hour to stroll the place, so please bear with my photos, lol.

The place was literally GLOWING!

With my photo-bomber brother, lol.

Garden of the Morning Calm was our last stop. We head back to Seoul around 8 o'clock in the evening I guess, and the road was packed with cars since it was almost Christmas Eve. Good thing we arrived at our Hotel just in time to prepare for Christmas.

P.S. All entrance fees were already included in our package. All we have to do is ENJOY!

Hope you like the photos.
With love, Sam.
