Everlasting Love ♥
July 16, 2012I'm about to divvy up a genuine love started decades ago.
I must say, this is the most amazing love story I've ever imagined myself.
"They say long distance relationship wouldn't work at all"; And that is why most couples part ways. Believe it or not, its not true. Well maybe, some part, but when you have trust and love for each other, it will last!
And the story I'm about to partake is my parents fruitful, loving, amazing, incredible love story! ♥ ♥ ♥
Just so you know, my Dad works abroad for a living as a seaman. My Mom is a housewife + a teacher ( A guidance counselor). Mom serves as the head of the family when dad is on sail. Years ago, Dad's contract would take years before he could go back home and see his family. But being miles away is not a hindrance at all for them. Why? Because even before telephones and internet came to life, they managed to at least write a letter or send a greeting cards for each other just to keep in touch. Making them more sweet, caring, and loving. They uphold their relationship for 23 years already. And so, as time went by, they used telephone & now internet to communicate each other. Thanks to our advance technology, they also uses skype just to see one another.
My Dad is out of country for a couple of months yet didn't hear any "bad issues" about him (Thank God! heehee), 'coz i know and i can see them how they give love equally.
But, in every relationship, there are rough paths on the way, to smooth it out they talked in a discrete manner. They never shout nor scream at each other. I never hear my parents argue in front of us.
Again, when dad is away, he never let a day goes by without calling AND chatting AND emailing mom. An emphasis to " AND " because dad do it all! Yes you read it right! :)
They also used facebook to get updates while they're oceans away from each other. And that's how i call TRUE LOVE is.

Dad never fails to give updates to Mom, and that's why TRUST is still there. :)

Once a pastor said: "Though you're married for years and decades, you still need to take care of yourself for you to look good, because looks does still matter in a relationship, hindi dapat pinapabayaan ang sarili"
If you read and don't skip in every screenshots you'll have this warm fuzzy feeling :)
So then, when there are special occasions Dad never fails to give Mom a present especially a bouquet of flowers, believe it or not even his miles & oceans away, he always do! I swear :)
Of course, by me as their bridge, Dad gonna call and give details and everything. Heehee!
On the other hand, when its Dad's Birthday and Father's Day, Mom also surprises Dad (though his not around), Mom will always have the food, cake, & drinks prepared, have it picture taken (to upload on facebook) or via skype by video calling Dad. Cheers to that!

In short, when you always have the sweetness and remain loyal & faithful w/ each other, trust will never breakdown because you know LOVE will always still there no matter how hardships you have had.
Though, we're are uncertain to what may happen next, as long as you keep in touch and always and ALWAAYYSSS TRUST . That will help prevent a relationship from sinking.
My mom told me the way to have a successful long-lasting marriage life are Trust, quality time, love, care & HONESTY :)
And the secret to experience a strong binding relationship is PRAYER. Because with the help of Almighty God, HE will help you stay away from temptations, wherein it is EVERYWHERE! :)
I asked Mom & Dad what's their greatest sacrifice just for them to feel more loved.
They answered me LIFE. At first, I was stuck at that moment, and thought it hard. Now, I understand.
And so do you, right? :)
Truth be told, Love will stay strong though you're far from each other when you have time, and be faithful to your partner.
Simply put, every love story is truly heartwarming! :)
