6 THINGS TO DO IN BAGUIO CITY
April 07, 2018
These are just among the things we
did in Baguio. We visited the place without researching where to go and luckily
we had Kuya Joseph our regular “driver-slash-tourist guide” every time we go to
Manila or neighboring places in Manila. He recommended all these things when we went
to Baguio. The main reason we went there because of the cold weather they have,
and we wanted to experience it as Mommy’s birthday wish.
Cebu to Manila takes an hour
flight + Manila to Baguio by a car = 4- 5 hours travel. So we opted to travel
from Cebu at early dawn so we will arrive at our destination in morning and can
still enjoy the rest of the day, without wasting it by just sleeping at the hotel.
When we arrive in Baguio here are
the things we did. T’was a 3D2N stay only.
Here you can take photo with you horseback riding and wearing the Igorot costume while taking advantage of the pretty mountain views.
This place is huge and you can find good
spot for taking photos. There’s a mini forest and a beautiful garden bloom with pretty flowers.
Stroll around and you can also find souvenir stalls inside this area.

Aside from the place being tourist-y, we
went here because of the movie Forevermore. When we went to Baguio it was
almost Panagbenga – it’s a flower festival in Baguio, so the park is packed
with people and of course stalls selling various of items from shoes to bags,
and foods! There are lot of activities
you can do in here so you can choose depending on your preference.
Their products are delicious and tasty. This store is one of the topmost choices among tourist cos aside from relatively cheap prices they offer a wide variety of goodies / pasalubong treats you can bring home from jams to peanut butters to a lot more. So this one is must visit store when you go to BAGUIO.
(Note: Wasn't able to take photo of their products, tho. But showing you the place -- see above photo.)

This one takes an hour travel from our hotel which is the HOTEL ELIZABETH, but it does worth the visit. This one is located at La Trinidad Benguet. When you got there, there are food stalls and souvenir stalls lining up. Most of the food stalls sells freshly picked strawberry and homemade delicious strawberry jams and ice creams. Nice thing is you can also do the picking/harvesting of the strawberry. You just have to pay per kilo. A cute basket is provided for you to fill up with strawberries. Most of the tourist opted to have the strawberries picked by themselves as we did. It may cost a lil bit higher than the ones in stalls but experience is totally worth it.
As I said, Botanical Garden is huge but
this place is gigantic. We weren’t able to stroll around this area since its
pretty big. Our goal was to visit Tree Top Adventure. Please see photo to see
fees. If you want to try something adventure and exciting that will pump your
heart double time, then this place is a must-visit! Please note: not for weak
hearts.
P.S. We also visited The Manor at Camp John
Hay, the Mansion and we also went to the mountain with sea of cloud view (I
forgot the name of the place though, sorry).
